Born in Montevideo, Uruguay.

 

Currently based in Vancouver, Canada.

 

An introverted kid that created his imaginary universe as a toddler. Sealed his connection with nature and the magical at an early age when he moved to Panama with his family for a couple years, where the jungle was his backyard. It became his playground with all its creatures, sounds and colours, influencing him for the rest of his life.

 

He attends the Universidad de Bellas Artes in Montevideo, Uruguay for one year and that was key in realizing that the true path was away from academics and could only be that of self discovery and innocent anarchy.

It was more about a philosophical endeavour, exploring the world and experiencing different cultures. It was then when he decided to go and see the world together with his girlfriend Erika, an artist herself. Like nomads they traveled extensively spending long periods at a time in several destinations around the world. From the jungles of Madagascar to a year in the small countryside town in northern Netherlands, submerged into Rarotonga’s coral reef, down the Rio Madre de Dios deep in the Peruvian Amazon jungle, Aconcagua’s southern wall in Argentina, etc.

 

In addition to being a fine art painter who has exhibited internationally, Tomas was drawn into the movie industry where for 25 years was a dedicated Head Scenic Artist in many Feature Productions like Watchmen, 7 Years in Tibet, Man of Steel, Night at the Museum I and II, Sucker Punch and many more. Working alongside an amazing group of creative people, bringing depth and illusion to the story on the screen.

 

Proud father of Teo and Zur and happily married to his personal goddess Erika.
